<title>Its the Persian New Year so Happy Norooz</title>

<description>Norooz   marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the Iranian calendar   and is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox which   usually occurs on March 21st or the previousfollowing day depending   where Norooz is observed. The studies of the Zooroastrian calendar tell   us that for nearly nine thousand years Iranians celebrated their big   national festivals with the arrival of each season. The greatest   festival was Norooz. It used to last upto forty days and people were   excused from paying taxes. Now the celebraton only goes on for thirteen   days but some of the old customs still remain. A week before the   festival arrives there is a major clean inside and outside. Furniture   is moved around and gardens and pools are cleaned also. Flowers and   plants are planted and the ladies usually prepare the meals. <description>It has been a while since I last updated my blog where does time go Sometimes the years go by so fast that I almost think it is trance like and you find yourself trying to remember just what has happened during all that timeand it seems to be going quicker and quicker or is that an age thingAnyway with Easter approaching London has embarked on an Easter Egg Hunt so there are quite a few colored eggs around I have posted a photo of one below and also in my London Gallery. A couple of weeks ago I went to Portebello Market to take some Photographs as I was going to do an article on Notthing Hill Gate and Portebello. I was taking photographs of some stalls when suddenly  I was pushed away and told not to take any photographs as I had not asked permission.
